We're the anti-agency PR partner built for high-growth tech

Group of people working on laptops with colorful programming code on screens in a blurred, motion effect.

We tell true stories with rigor and transparency so progress gets the attention it deserves. Our embedded PR model combines journalist-grade craft, guaranteed quarterly targets, and daily collaboration to turn overlooked brands into credible market leaders.

Client principles that shape every decision we make

Transparency

We're transparent about what's possible and what isn't. We don't oversell or hide metrics. Your confidence is built on reality, not promises.

Communication

We communicate early, often, and with context. No guessing games, no black boxes—just clear updates, candid feedback, and shared ownership over the work.

Measurement-driven

We don’t worship impressions or fluff. We track the right signals, tell you what they mean, and adjust fast. Every decision ties back to real business impact—not performative PR.

Collaboration

We work as true partners, not vendors. That means shared goals, shared context, and shared wins. You get a team that’s in the trenches with you—collaborating daily and caring as much as you do about the outcome.

Grit & Hustle

We don't give up after the first 'no.' We iterate on angles. We find the reporter who cares. We stay until we hit the targets we committed to.

How we deliver

01

Partnership without the agency distance

We sit inside your world — in Slack, in strategy conversations, and in the decisions that shape narrative. Collaboration isn’t scheduled once a week, it’s how we move every day.

02

Accountability you can see and measure

Success isn’t vague. From Day 1, we align on the outlets and outcomes that drive revenue, recruiting, and reputation. Quarterly targets — documented, tracked, and tied to business impact.

03

Senior craft, no B-Team

Every pitch, angle, and executive narrative is led by people who’ve written the stories you want to be in. Journalistic instincts, newsroom-level quality. No handoffs to juniors. Ever.

04

Stories that create momentum

We don’t wait for your next launch. We build your positioning into the trends shaping your category — and keep you in the headlines, not waiting for them.

Led by founders who've done this before,

Lizzy Harris

Ceo & Co-founder

Lizzy is the cofounder and CEO at The Colab. Having worked at agencies and in-house over the last 16 years, Lizzy built The Colab with a vision of turning the traditional agency model on its head, with a hyper focus on transparency, communication, ROI, and exceeding metrics. Lizzy is passionate about forging authentic partnerships with clients, helping them define their narrative, and driving measurable business outcomes through tailored strategies.

Outside of work, Lizzy is either on skis, in a raft, or riding around on a mountain bike in Colorado. It keeps her grounded—mostly because gravity refuses to negotiate.

Journalist-Led Storytelling

Our team includes former journalists from the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and CNBC.

This isn't guessing. We work with the best in the industry because they know what moves the needle and how to break through the noise.

The Colab way

You could hire a big-name agency. You could try building this in-house. Or you could work with a partner built specifically to fix what's broken in agency PR.

The Colab

Traditional Agencies

Team Structure
Team Structure

Senior team only—Ashley, Lizzy, and strategists with 8+ years of experience. No junior handoffs. Ever.

Team Structure

A rotating door of junior account members handling your most sensitive information.

Who Writes Your content
Who Writes Your content

Senior practitioners and former journalists from the NYT, WSJ, Forbes, and Fortune. Endless iterations and low-quality content have no place here.

Who Writes Your content

24-year-old account coordinators who've never worked in a newsroom drive endless content review cycles.

Communication
Communication

Constant Slack updates, proactive initiatives, and an embedded partnership. We move at your speed, and you’ll never have to wonder where anything is.

Communication

Inconsistent communication, long email threads, and slow response times. You adapt to their cadence, and you’re often left guessing where things stand.

Timeline to Results
Timeline to Results

97% of clients see results in 30 days or less. Metrics are agreed upon at kickoff, and we don’t miss.

Timeline to Results

“Three months ramp with 6 months to see momentum.” Translation: we don't have a plan.

Guarantees
Guarantees

Quarterly placement minimums that drive results. High-quality publications and outlets, no low-hanging fruit to bolster our metrics.

Guarantees

"Best efforts" language that count tier-three hits and syndications. No accountability when results don't materialize or drive results.

Transparency
Transparency

Live tracker showing every pitch sent, every journalist response, every published link—updated daily. Weekly recaps you can deliver straight to the board.

Transparency

Black box reporting with vanity metrics (impressions, AVE, potential reach) that mean nothing to your stakeholders.

Journalist Relationships
Journalist Relationships

Targeted outreach to reporters who cover your category. Response rate: 34% vs. industry 2-5%.

Journalist Relationships

Cold pitching with spray-and-pray tactics. Mass email blasts to journalists who don't cover your beat.

LLM Visibility
LLM Visibility

We prioritize outlets that feed LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) and track your AI search rankings so buyers find you when they research vendors.

LLM Visibility

Not tracked. Not prioritized. Still measuring PR like it's 2010.

For ambitious tech companies

We work with high-growth B2B and B2C technology companies. You're building something significant. You need visibility that moves the needle. You measure success by impact, not coverage counts. If that sounds like you, let's talk.
